Wedding Photography FAQs

What camera gear do you use?
I use a Canon 5D Mark II professional camera, with multiple Canon lenses, filters and an external flash.

Can we meet you before the day?
Of course! If you would like to meet me prior to the wedding day, just let me know and - given time
allowances and distance - we can arrange it! Alternatively, I am always happy to discuss things via phone.

How far will you travel for a wedding?
Generally, I stick to weddings within an hour of Sydney's CBD. However, I am prepared to travel further, such as to the Blue Mountains or Central Coast.
However, please be aware that extra travel fees will apply.

Do we need to provide you with a meal?
No, you do not need to provide me with a meal at the reception. I will have a few snacks with me which I will
duck out and munch on at a time when I will not miss anything.

Can guests ask you to take a certain photo?
Of course! Tell guests they are free to grab my attention for a specific posed shot.

Do you mind if lots of other people are taking photos?
Not at all! That is to be expected! However, when taking the posed portraits, if guests are present, I would prefer for them to wait to the side until I am finished. Otherwise, we may end up with people looking at different cameras. I do expect to be the only professional wedding photographer. If this is not the case, please let me know.

Do you mind if we also have a videographer there?
Of course not! But please just let me know! Also, just be aware that having a videographer there can make it a little harder for me, especially during the ceremony, simply because I am trying not to block their shot, while simultaneously getting a good angle myself. So just be aware that I may have to compromise in order to also accommodate the videographer, and this may mean not be shooting from the very best position. But I do my very best to work around this.
